19/05/2009 - Shops close after ceilings collapse
Ceilings have collapsed in 19 stores at a Doncaster shopping centre after heavy rain also caused the closure of a main road.
Electricians were called to make the power supplies safe at the stores in Lakeside Village, off White Rose Way, where a quantity of stock was damaged.
A spokesman said the affected stores would not reopen until they had been secured and inspected, although others at the centre are still trading.
Meanwhile, police closed the flooded Barnby Dun Road, in nearby Kirk Sandall, as drivers struggled to make their way through through deep surface water.
