06/04/2010 - Hunt for jewellery shop robbers
Police are hunting for three robbers after a daylight raid at a jewellery shop in Kent.
The armed robbery took place at Hadfields jewellers in Canterbury around 3.25pm on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses saw the men smash the shop windows using hammers.
No-one was injured in the incident, but the thieves stole silver, gold and platinum jewellery from the display cases before escaping in a black Ford Focus.
The car was later found abandoned.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Police would like to speak to anyone they have not already who saw the car in the area or a group of men, at least three in total, who raised suspicions in the city yesterday afternoon."
Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 690690 and ask for Detective Sergeant Andy Amor.
