03/08/2010 - Fire destroys recycling building
A suspicious fire has destroyed a building and equipment at a tire recycling depot in County Antrim.
The blaze was reported to emergency services late on Sunday night and at one point had 30 firefighters at the scene. Estimates put the cost of the damage around the site in Garvaghy Road near Portglenone at around £1 million.
Some firefighters have had to stay at the site to extinguish smaller fires which keep flaring up, with assistant commander Colin Dixon saying the flames will not be put out for "some time".
