17/02/2010 - Expensive watches stolen from shop
Thieves have made off with several valuable watches from a shop in Mansfield, police confirmed.
Nottingham Police said the incident occurred at Stamp King in Market Street. Although no weapons were used in the daylight raid, two female shop assistants were hit in the face by the robbers.
According to detectives, the shop was targeted at around 3.30pm on Monday.
A man entered the store and began looking at watches. Another man joined him in the shop and they proceeded to lean over the counter, grabbing several expensive watches.
The two then drove off in a silver-coloured four-door car, which police believe may have been a Vauxhall Astra.
