14/05/2010 - Luxury bags stolen during break-in
Police in Scotland have appealed to the public for information after luxury handbags worth £6,000 were stolen from a shop in Perthshire.
The bags were taken in the early hours of Saturday May 8 following a break-in at rural clothing and food outlet House of Bruar in Bridge of Tilt, sparking a police appeal to the local community for information about the whereabouts of the bags which are likely to be sold on.
A variety of expensive Mulberry bags were taken during the raid, including a £595 shoulder bag and a £450 tote, Tayside Police said.
The designer brand has become synonymous with high street couture following its popularity with fashion icons such as supermodel Kate Moss and television presenter-cum-fashionista Alexa Chung, who has a bag named after her.
