01/09/2010 - Top Dublin hotel damaged in fire
One of Dublin's top hotels has been damaged in a fire that broke out in the building's seventh floor.
D4 Berkeley Hotel in Ballsbridge was evacuated following the fire, while eight units of Dublin Fire Brigade were called in.
A spokeswoman for the hotel said the fire was caused by an electrical fault and no injuries were reported, while two people were treated in hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation.
She said: "Both have now been discharged and have returned to the hotel.
"There were no injuries, and no major damage caused.
"D4 Hotels is full tonight and no bookings are affected. It is business as usual."
