11/02/2011 - Armed robber targets bookmakers
An armed robber has stolen cash during a raid at a Newark bookmakers.
The offender, described as white and around 5ft 11in - 6ft tall, entered the branch of Ladbrokes on Bowbridge Road on Tuesday evening.
He threatened staff with what is believed to be a handgun.
No injuries were reported and there were no customers in the shop at the time.
The offender, who is of medium build, was wearing a black balaclava and a dark jacket at the time of the incident.
