Our standard cover

  • Public and products liability insurance for nail technicians

No matter where you work, in the course of your day a client could accidentally be injured or you could cause damage to their property. They could simply slip and hurt themselves while visiting you. You might even spill lotion on an expensive rug, causing damage to their home.

Public and Products Liability Insurance covers claims for personal injury and damage to third party property made by members of the public. It’s designed to pay your legal costs and if you’re found to be at fault, compensation (up to the chosen limit) and the claimants’ legal costs.

Nail Technician Insurance – cover options

Here are some of the cover options available to you:

  • Nail treatments liability cover

Our treatment liability cover insures you for any illness or injury caused by any of the manicure and pedicure services below, as long as you’re qualified to do them. For nail technicians, the cover will come with these standard treatments:

    • Applying nail extensions and nail coatings, such as varnishes and coatings cured using UV lamp
    • Applying nail art
    • Cutting and shaping nails

You can add other treatments too. Find out more here or call 0345 878 5606

You can also get cover for theft of business money at home, at your salon or when you’re on the go. Maximum limits apply.

  • Employers' liability

There are a few exceptions but if you have employees then by law you need to have Employers' Liability Insurance. It covers your legal costs if they suffer illness or injury in the course of their work for you. Click here to read a guide which provides details of who is an employee and which organisations are exempt for further details.
